Circles and Spirals

This week, Moo has been very keen on drawing, especially circles and spirals. She has quite an impressive pencil grip (n my opinion of course!)

Skye’s appetite is quite something…she’s eating almost everything in sight…including the butter!

At work, there is a lovely housekeeper, Shokie, and Skye loves her because Shokie does anything Skye asks 🙂 Skye follows her around the house, helps her to make the beds and pick up clothes and then demands to be taken to see the “wah-wah’s” (dogs).

Every day after I’ve picked everyone up from school and we get home, I set up a little table with some snacks and a jug of juice and 2 little cups so Skye and 3yr old can help themselves whilst I do homework with 6yr old.
Skye is very adept with a jug and pouring and I’m quite impressed, that after only showing her once, the 3yr old has figured out how to pour neatly (no-one has ever let her pour anything on her own before)

This week, we explored outside a bit. Skye doesn’t go too far from me, but today she wanted to see what was around the other side of the house. I love letting her explore on her own time. Imagine her delight when she found a little playhouse tucked away in the corner of the garden.

She found little stove and invited me inside, and spent a while cooking with the little pots and pans we found.

On Thursday we made bolognaise for supper at work. Skye decided it tasted pretty good, and had 3 helpings!

Today we made a yummy sweetcorn dish for work supper. Moo helped me to break eggs and mix everything together. I showed her once how to crack the egg on the edge of the mug, break them open and empty them then discard the shell. She managed just fine 🙂

Moo asked to do drawing. She dragged out the little table and chair, asked for paper and crayons and spent a very happy half hour drawing 🙂

We also played with playdough a lot. Skye can now roll a snake and manages a rolling pin 🙂 We used all sorts of things to make different imprints in the playdough 🙂

Dinner tonight: toast (with butter of course!), butternut soup, frozen peas (and later some cheese)
